~Moments of Gratitude~

What was once inspired by an annual 30 Days of Gratitude during the month of November, has now further grown into an intentional lifestyle of unceasing gratitude, for moments far beyond just the Thanksgiving season!

BREAKthrough

November 11, 2019

Today, something broke off me, literally!

For 2,080 consecutive days, I wore a wristband with the words

"Almost Famous" on it. To just about anyone other than me, it would seem like an ordinary bracelet. However, the story behind it is what makes it so incredibly special and valued.

On March 02, 2014, I received this wristband as a gift from someone I never knew I'd meet. She's a prestigious businesswoman who welcomed me into a high-end career world, which I had longed to be a part of.

Ever since that day, I've worn it as a reminder of all the wonderful foreseen and unforeseen to come. I've never had it off for more than approximately five minutes at a time. 2,080 days later it snaps off, and I can't help but believe that it's because the great is no longer coming, but it is already here!

Naturally, I would feel a bit sad about something so treasured to me breaking, but at the same time, it's like I knew God was doing a new thing. The bigger and greater were no longer arriving but manifesting. So, today, I just say, "Thank You, Lord, for the time I had with it and the preparation made while wearing it as a reminder for the works to be brought forth. Now, I greatly, gracefully, and gratefully look forward to operating in the abundance of what has been a long time coming, but is finally here! God, you're doing above all that I have asked and imagined. Thank You!

When God brings you to a new level, He has to break you through the perimeters of your previous one. Sometimes it can feel or look like things are falling apart, but that's just Him breaking grounding for expansion to a new land. He's helping you to break pass what He sees you've restricted yourself to. He says that He's so much bigger and so much greater than what you understand that He has to bring you up to His level steadily or your lungs will pop; just as they would if you were sinking far below the earth's surface and tried to come up too fast without the proper training, knowledge, and equipment. You can't physically or mentally overwhelm yourself, and you can't supersede God's timing, but you also have to be ready to grow and move when He says it's time!

Infinite Forgiveness

March 26, 2019

I've messed up so many times on things that are very important to me and that I really want to honor God with. So, sometimes it’s really hard not to condemn myself for these mistakes, but I pray and ask God for forgiveness. What amazes me is that each and every time He gives it generously. For the most recent time that I repented, God’s response was, “All is well. It is well.”

😮😫My, what an Awesome God we serve! I'm so grateful for His relentless Love & Mercy! It changes my heart and encourages me to love others in the same way. My, what a Great Father He is!

For the Love of Spring

March 09, 2019

11:25 am Sat. March 09, 2019

On this beautiful, rainy day, I realize Spring is my favorite season! 💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚

As I stand while staring out the window several minutes, soaking in all the beauty of the season to come, my heart just fills with supreme joy for the priceless creation of God - that is Spring! I value this environmental time for many reasons. Just to share one: no matter how rainy things get or how wet and icky your circumstances appear, when it's Spring you can always rest assured that even in that very moment you're still flourishing! So as the saying “April showers, bring May flowers” goes, you can also remember this: “Rainy days bring prosperous ways!”

I'm going to enjoy this incredible day, and you can do the same. Whether it's literally raining wherever you are in the world, or it's just a rainy season in life for you right now, always remember that in these critical times you flourish beyond measure and understanding!

You may not be able to see it or even feel it, but God is in control, and He's drawing you closer to Him and pushing you further into your destiny! Thank You, Jesus, for this season - spiritual and natural! Without Your sacrifice, we would never be able to enjoy these blessed times! We give You all Glory~Honor~ Praise~ and Thanksgiving for every season You put us in and bring us through! For, our trust is forever in You!💚

His Love Forever

February 14, 2019

I'm grateful to say this Valentine's Day I know the Love of God in a whole new way - on a much deeper level than ever before! The Love of God is inseparable from my heart because It's rooted so deeply, and is impenetrable by outside forces. I never cease to be amazed by how much He cares for me and by all of who and what He is to me. I feel as though I fall short when I try to fully express the love I have for the sacredness of my covenant with Him. Yet, in many ways, I still try, because my heart is unceasingly overflowing with awe, appreciation, and joy.

Blessings All Around!

January 1, 2019

Blessings All Around! Look and see what the Lord has done. You'll find that no matter what situation you may be in, you still have limitless reasons to be grateful. Small blessings and ones largely impressing fall at your hands and feet. Even when we're undeserving God still showers us with delightful treats. Though, it is when we are ungrateful, that our hearts skip a beat because with Him we are no longer in sync. It grieves His Holy Spirit when we don't take the time to stop and think - to stop and see the gracious path He has laid before thee. Worthy is He because even in my downfalls He still sets blessings all around me.

Happy New Year!!! 💛💛💛

Thanksgiving Day!

November 22, 2018

Moments of Gratitude: Thanksgiving Day

It's that time of year again, Thanksgiving Day! What a beautiful time, when family and friends gather and feast on delicious cravings; such a beautiful sight to see!

Though Thanksgiving is much more than just a day of festivity, it's a time to deeply reflect on all that you have to be grateful for; giving all glory, honor, and praise to the Father for gifts abundant and sparing!

Growth: Spiritual and Personal

November 3, 2018

This year, 2018, has in some ways been unlike any other year. I've seen so much personal growth within myself, and so much expansion in my Covenant with Christ. For the first time ever, on June 3, 2018, I was baptized at my church. The whole experience was so renewing and exciting; I feel as though it really did take me to a new Grace level in my Covenant! I also had the privilege of attending via the internet, the 2018 LWCC International Faith Conference; it was phenomenal! Taking heed to the teachings that went forth and letting them take root in my heart, mind, and life definitely contributed to the personal growth in my Spiritual relationship with Christ. As well, it rekindled and set new fires in me for the passions I have in regards to my purpose.

During the week-long conference, there were several guest artists who lead various styles of praise and worship. One group, in particular, stood out to me and impacted me so deeply, that months later my heart was still singing the same song with just as much, if not more, sincerity! The artists I speak of are David and Nicole Binion. When I tell you they are truly gifted and genuine worshippers, believe me! They sang songs from their new album Dwell.

In addition to spiritual growth, there has also been a lot of natural and personal growth. I've stepped out of my comfort zone countless times this year, and have tried and experienced new things. I've developed many new Godly friendships and relationships! I turned 16 😊! I've taken quite a few long and short trips in and out of state. And I've watched myself let God lead me and take my steps further and further in the direction of me fully assuming the identity of being His daughter! It's been nothing short of amazing watching God's Love for me expand just when I thought It had reached the horizon. Of course, there have been unpleasant times, but God's Favor, Grace, Mercy, Blessings, and Wisdom have manifested themselves in numerous inexplainable ways throughout the journey, so I can't help but still say Thank You!

Welcome!

November 1, 2018

Hello! Welcome to Moments of Gratitude by Jessica M Weston ~ God's Daughter, me! This started out as a short challenge done annually for 30 days during the month of November (30 Days of Gratitude). Though, after 3 consecutive years, shortly before the start of the fourth year, God led it into something greater, which is Moments of Gratitude.

This transition enables and encourages a lifelong heart of gratitude in every season, instead of just a boxed-in, forced, and potentially monotonous post on every day of the month of November. Initially, when first starting the 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge, it was invigorating and an exciting baby step toward developing a consistent heart of gratitude. But after some years and in a much deeper position in my relationship with Christ, it was no longer enough to just be mindful of gratitude during the Thanksgiving Season! God has grown to be so much more to me than I could have ever imagined, so I want to always have the freedom to express my appreciation of who He is to me and of all His blessings!  I am very thankful for the opportunity to be able to honor God and share these moments with a genuine heart of appreciation and adoration! Thank You, Father!
